Questions About Buying In Bulk
How much freezer space will I need?
Answer: Typically 1 cubic foot of freezer space is needed for 35-40 lbs of meat. (1 cubic foot of space is roughly the size of a full large brown grocery bag.) Our 1/8 Beef Bundle is 33 lbs, so just about 1 cubic foot of freezer space is needed.
How long before the meat expires?
Answer: Quality wrapped meat can last a minimum of 6 months up to a year in proper conditions. As long as the seals stay intact, so if you see meat that seal is popped and not completely tight around the meat it needs to be eaten immediately to avoid freezer burn. Meat that is handled properly (not thrown around) should keep their seals intact.
Should I wait until your Bulk Meat Sale?
Answer: Our bulk meat sale is a great way to save on our meat, but it is not for everyone. These 1/4 and 1/8 bundles are extremely convenient for these main reasons:
- No need to fill out a confusing cut sheet
- Meat is delivered to your home
- Only the best cuts are placed in these boxes
What happened to the 1/16 Bundle?
Answer: We have discontinued the 1/16 bundle and replaced it with the Best of Beef box which we felt like has a better selection of cuts and value.
